Short Bio

This is a group for families with children ages 0-5 who live in the boundaries of the San Bernardino City Unified School District. • FREE weekly classes and sessions designed to recharge your life • FREE childcare (for children over 12 months) & a light meal Each session starts with fitness (either yoga or Zumba) followed by a light meal. The second hour is enrichment including parent support groups, parenting techniques, urban farming, nutrition, money management, arts and crafts, and whatever else parents would like to do. The schedule is as follows: • Tuesday evenings from 6-9 pm at SAC Health Systems at 250 S. G. Street • Wednesday mornings from 9-11 am at San Gorgonio High School's Family Engagement Center at 2299 Pacific St, San Bernardino • Thursday mornings from 9-11 am at Inghram Elementary School 1695 W 19th St The KITS Program is offered by the Making Hope Happen Foundation and also includes research-based parenting classes for families with children ages 0-5. They are attachment-based and include information on positive child guidance, the importance of reading, singing, and engaging in play with your child as well as how young children's brains develop. The classes are also free and are offered in partnership with CSU San Bernardino's Institute for Child Development and Family Relations.
